Search Console + Bing Webmaster

Day-1 foundational setup — manual DNS verification, deliberately over the one-click auto-connect option.

Setup

  1. 1.Google Search Console: verified via manual DNS TXT record (Cloudflare DNS → "Any provider" dropdown to get the manual TXT value) — deliberately chosen over Cloudflare’s one-click auto-connect. A recurring principle in this build: prefer manual verification/DNS control over automated third-party connectors whenever a safer manual path exists, even if slightly slower.
  2. 2.Bing Webmaster Tools: connected directly, sitemap submitted to both.
  3. 3.Both linked to GA4 (Admin → Product Links → Search Console).

Microsoft Clarity — connection method

  1. 1.Connected via GTM’s own "Install with Google Tag Manager" Cloudflare-OAuth flow (auto-creates the tag in the GTM workspace directly) — then separately connected Clarity’s own "Google Analytics" integration (no extra site code, just links the two dashboards).
  2. 2.Consent-gated the same way as every other non-Google tag.
